Retreat in Review

Hey all! We had a great weekend together this past weekend. I am so glad to hear that you all enjoyed it and were challenged in your walks by our time together. It also sounds like most all of you were pretty sore. I think that would be the climbing wall working its magic on those muscles you don't use too often. Hopefully by now you have caught up on sleep and your body is recovering from to hardcore strain you may have put on it.

Out of curiosity... what was a highlight from the retreat?

this is amazing.

it's one day late, though, as i spent too much time yesterday a) rummaging through a pile of gift cards and coupons and stuff looking for an itunes card and then b) searching for songs by lyric...

there were a few i forgot though, so this was awesome. and it's pretty sweet that making imixes is in your job description. :)

haha yea dave that rock wall got to us i'm pretty sure.

ooh man hight light? hmm...the whole trip man! How can we possibly pick out just one highlight? lol. well..if I truly have to pick just one...I'm goin to have to say...just hanging out as a whole group worshiping. I haven't really been in a big group like that and truly experienced the whole learning how to quiet down your brain and natural thoughts to open yourself to learning more Word of God. That's the most amazing things I've learned. Before the trip, I was trying to learn how to quiet down the thoughts that were running through my head about that day, the devil was winning that "war".so the trip helped me out by showing me how to quiet down those thoughts. and that was one of the highlights spiritually for me.

The Amazing Race I would have to say was one of the funnest activities we did. I can't wait until next years. :)

Ohh By the way, on the post last night I totally got this mixed up..
(it's talking about the songs)

"They are really good for quietting down your Spirit to hear God, and to Praise his Holy name."

That should totally say...

"They are really good for quietting down your thoughts and bringing you to the presence of the Lord to hear what he has to say."

well Dave, thanks for the songs! and np for the idea

that was a long post caleb but that is cool!!

Highlight... I really enjoyed the group talks, I always like that where everyone can voice their opinion and voice in thoughts that would not have been thought of otherwise! I also really like the amazing race!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I love doing crazy things for time, there is such a rush of adrenoline!!! Tehn it was cool to just hang out and do whatever in your own time and meeting new people...there were so many middle schoolers that I didn't know!!!

Well I could go on and on because the whole thing was great, but i better end it there!!!

See you guys tomorrow!!
